The county research does not publish separate Sheriff Records office hours. Call the main line before an in-person visit. The following routes keep each request with its actual custodian:
- For a county booking sheet or booking photograph, follow the records-request steps on the home page and direct a focused NextRequest submission to Sheriff Records.
- For present jail custody or a possible release, call the jail at 831-636-4060. This site cannot confirm either status.
- For a recent Hollister Police arrest, check the official HPD Transparency Portal. Its multi-day booking reports have no photographs and are not a county roster.
- For a filed case or final disposition, contact the San Benito County Superior Court Criminal Division at 450 Fourth Street, Hollister, CA 95023, or 831-636-4057. Published contact hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- For a possible warrant, use the court and Sheriff verification paths described by Sheriff's Most Wanted. No official public county warrant portal was identified.
- For a California state-prison record, use the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation CIRIS search. County jail custody does not appear there merely because an arrest occurred.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator. Those systems serve different custody populations and do not replace a San Benito County jail call.
